Relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Mathematical Problem Solving Ability

This study aimed to describe the level of students 'emotional intelligence, students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, and relationship between emotional intelligence skills. research is a quantitative using ex post facto correlation method. The sample was class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Teras Boyolali in 2018/2019 academic year, determined purposive sampling technique. Data were collected questionnaires, tests, documentation. All data analyzed descriptive analysis, product moment formula, hypothesis testing. results show that: (1) with low 28.1%, 37.5% moderate, 34.4% high, Mathematical abilities math percentage 29.7%, moderate 35.9%, high 34.4%, (3) After technique, coefficient value obtained from 0.586 then compared table r number. A significant 1%, namely 0.2075. It proven that count tabel this are substantial, sense which states, "There ability solve problems District Regency".
